THE EXPOSITION OF PUERTO RICAN HISTORY, ART AND CULTURE 2023

PRESENTS

THE HISTORY OF COFFEE, COCOA,

AND CHOCOLATE EXHIBITS

A MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL AT THE CLAY COUNTY AGRICULTURAL FAIRGROUNDS,

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL

DATES: SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

NOVEMBER 18TH AND 19TH 2023

We are pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Puerto Rican Expo of History, Art, and Culture has outgrown its UNF location and will be presenting its treasures at the Clay County Fairgrounds this year, with a special opening ceremony honoring Hispanic Veterans, and in gratitude for their service to our country.

Arlene Ortiz, founder and producer of the event, and Vice President of the Jacksonville/San Juan Sister Cities program, states: “In its growth, the Expo has included other Latin American Countries such as; Cuba, Santo Domingo, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain, Peru and many others, who will share an educational and cultural message with our diverse community, by having pavilions where each country will be represented.

New exciting additions are in the scope for this year’s event! They include Cultural Folkloric Music with live entertainment and a Latin American Food Court, highlighting traditional foods from their respective cultures. We will be featuring the Coffee, Cocoa and Chocolate exhibits detailing the history and growth of these industries in Latin America, with coffee tastings, a barista contest, chocolate recipes, and cake & candy samplings. The Kids Zone will consist of interactive games, entertainers, water slides, a petting Zoo and much more!!

In order to give everyone a chance to participate, we have also extended our event to 2 days! The event will take place on November 18th and 19th, a Saturday and Sunday, for everyone’s enjoyment.

We wish to extend our thanks to all who have supported us in the past and welcome you to do so again this year.

“If you have not been part of our event before, we want to invite you to the only Hispanic event focused on the cultural, historical, and educational aspects of our heritage in Jacksonville, winners of the “Best Educational Exhibit” at World of Nations, two years in

a row.”
